Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data solutions to support business objectives.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building and scaling high-performance data pipelines using technologies such as Databricks/PySpark and dbt.
  • Designing and implementing complex data systems from scratch, including ETL, data cleaning, and information retrieval.
  • Leading end-to-end software development projects involving large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks, and other AI technologies.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to transform use cases into production-ready services and solutions.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices, as well as experience working with cloud-based technologies. You should also be familiar with modern software engineering practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and cloud-native deployments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field (Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related).
  • At least 5-7 years of total professional experience, with 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with financial services or product development environments is a strong plus.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Python and SQL with strong data manipulation and analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with Databricks/PySpark and dbt for data warehousing and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Temporal).
  • Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, feature engineering, and knowledge graphs is an advantage.
