Automation Testing Job Description

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Automation Tester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, or Shell is necessary.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including writing shell scripts and using Unix command-line tools is required.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL skills are essential.
  • Experience with RESTful API testing and tools like Postman is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The ideal candidate will have developed frameworks in Java (Maven) and JavaScript (Node.js), using Excel for test data and JSON for object repositories.
  • The candidate will be able to architect a 24/7 self-sustaining system for executing automation regression test scripts.
  • The candidate will support REST API workflows with automated test case generation, JSON assertions, and data encryption.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing is required.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Python or other programming languages is required.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments is essential.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL skills are required.
  • Experience with RESTful API testing and tools like Postman is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is beneficial.
