Job Title: Chief Academic Officer

The Chief Academic Officer plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of a Medical University. This individual is responsible for leading the university's strategic vision, fostering excellence in research and academics, and ensuring operational efficiency.

This senior leadership position demands a distinguished academician with teaching experience, a medical Doctor or PhD from a premier institution, and extensive experience in academic administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive academic strategy, aligning with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare.
  • Academic Excellence: Drive the continuous improvement of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment to meet learning outcomes and industry needs.
  • Research and Innovation: Foster a vibrant research culture, supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding.
  • Institutional Governance: Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, overseeing statutory bodies like the Academic Council and Finance Committee.
  • External Engagement: Represent the university at national and international platforms, establishing partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries.
  • Student Success: Champion student welfare, mentoring career readiness, and holistic development, creating a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment.

Requirements:

  • A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputable institution.
  • A medical Doctor or PhD from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, and administration management.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a professor or equivalent positions held in a university system or reputable research or academic administrative organizations.
