Manufacturing Operations Engineer Job DescriptionJob Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes. This individual will be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principles, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring seamless production workflow management.

This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex challenges efficiently. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, have experience in process optimization, supplier negotiations, and lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough vendor searches and developments to ensure optimal supply chain management.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable material costs and build strong relationships.
  • Establish efficient manufacturing and quality control processes at contract manufacturers' locations.
  • Source raw materials and semi-finished goods for lifestyle products while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Oversight of ERP (Odoo) and project management (Jira) system implementation to elevate visibility and streamline workflows.
  • Manage business operations including certifications, pricing, logistics.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Promote rapid R&D prototyping to reduce lead times for new component designs, improving agility and speed to market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Able to independently navigate challenges using analytical tools and resources.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setup.
