Job Title:

Direct Taxation Expert

We are seeking a skilled Direct Taxation Specialist to join our team in Kollam, India.

Job Summary:

This is a highly specialized role that involves drafting submissions for faceless assessment and appeal proceedings, penalty submissions, and responding to letters and making compliances to queries of the department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drafting submissions for faceless assessment and appeal proceedings, penalty submissions, and responding to letters and making compliances to queries of the department.
  • Representing before assessing officers and various other authorities for assessment and appeal proceedings.
  • Preparing, vetting, and filing returns of income and TDS returns for individuals, partnership firms, HUF, companies, etc.
  • Briefing managers, partners, and counsels for CIT (appeals), tribunal, and high court matters.
  • Drafting and preparing submissions and paper books for matters before various appellate authorities.
  • Providing advisory services over domestic/international taxation, preparing form 15 CA/CB, and evaluating tax structures.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in Direct Tax with excellent knowledge of Indian Direct Tax Laws and Government departments.
  • Expertise in handling complex tax assessments and litigations, cross-functional data coordination, transfer pricing, and compliances.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and working presentation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, strong organizational and time management skills.
