Job Opportunity: Senior Taxation Leader

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in taxation, with expertise in tax payments and compliance.

  • Candidates must have Capital Market experience and be familiar with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Tax Payments & Compliance Management
  • Manage payments of TDS, Advance Income Tax, and Security Transaction Tax (STT).
  • Verify reports prepared by the team and authorize payments.
  • Collate financial data to ensure accuracy and timely statutory compliance.
Tax Return Filing & Certification
  • Validate TDS, Service Tax, and STT returns for filing.
  • Ensure accuracy of statutory certificates (Form 16A, etc.).
  • Prepare and coordinate STT return filings as per regulations.
Audits & Assessments
  • Prepare income computation reports and liaise with auditors/consultants.
  • Address queries from auditors and tax authorities.
  • Support scrutiny cases and attend hearings where required.
Litigations & Appeals
  • Coordinate with consultants for appeals at Tribunal/High Court/Supreme Court.
  • Approve statutory fees and ensure documentation of cases.
Other Key Activities
  • Review and validate regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure STT applicability on new securities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws and accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in financial services with Capital Market exposure.
  • Strong stakeholder management (regulators, consultants, internal teams).
  • Leadership skills to build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Process-driven, problem-solving mindset with execution focus.
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: CA/MBA (Finance) with 8–12 years of relevant experience.
  • Desired: LLB or additional qualifications in Capital Markets.
