Accounting Expert for Remote Business

We are seeking an experienced accounting expert to join our finance and operations team.

This role requires strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, accounting standards, and taxation rules, along with excellent English communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with our leadership team to ensure our financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant.

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • A solid understanding of Australian bookkeeping, accounting standards, and taxation rules.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
