Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop systems, hardware, and software.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operating System Support: Install and configure operating systems across devices, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.
  • Hardware Support: Assemble, upgrade, and troubleshoot computer hardware, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Software Support: Install, configure, backup, and troubleshoot standard applications to ensure smooth operation.
  • Network Support: Install and troubleshoot network printers, configure VPN and firewall settings, and ensure secure connectivity.
  • Security: Implement encryption measures, update antivirus software, and manage virus protection to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Active Directory Management: Create user accounts, reset passwords, update group policies, and control access to maintain a secure environment.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance for software and system-related issues, utilizing tools and expertise to resolve problems quickly.

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of desktop systems, hardware, and software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Active Directory management and network security.
  • Knowledge of asset management processes.
  • Certifications in desktop support or related fields.
