Our Organisation seeks a visionary leader to drive the advancement of our programme portfolio.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, steering and scaling impactful initiatives with emphasis on effective planning, cross-sectoral integration and outcome-oriented delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes.
  2. Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to strengthen impact.
  3. Oversee select programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals.
  4. Provide guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  5. Engage with implementing agencies, knowledge partners and peer organisations to strengthen programme outcomes.
  6. Represent the organisation externally as required.
  7. Mentor mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles.
  8. Cultivate a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
  9. Ensure effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons and adapting strategies.
  10. Support the preparation of reports, presentations and knowledge products.
  11. Contribute to budget planning and monitor utilisation in assigned programme areas.
  12. Ensure compliance with internal processes and frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy or a related discipline.
  • At least 12-15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management or evaluation within the development sector including experience in leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
