Job Title:

Application Support Specialist

Role Overview:

This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise applications. We are seeking a highly skilled system engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor and maintain application platforms.
  • Enable understanding of business processes and usage patterns to support refinement of applications.
  • Provide rapid response to system issues, minimizing downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement in configuration of applications leading to improved performance.
  • Support data archiving and reduction strategies.

Scope of Work:

  • Platform Setup and Management: Set up and manage application environments, repositories, and permissions.
  • User and Access Management: Handle LDAP/SSO integration, Active Directory, and custom onboarding tools.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor server health, fine-tune configurations, and prevent bottlenecks.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and validate backup and restore strategies.
  • Upgrades and Patch Management: Apply updates and patches with minimal disruption.
  • Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution: Diagnose sync errors, repository conflicts, and connectivity issues.
  • Repository Management: Support project structuring, baseline management, and merge operations.
  • Model Integrity and Compliance: Enforce modeling standards and run validation checks.
  • Integration Support: Maintain links with Cameo Collaborator, PLM systems, and APIs.
  • Change and Configuration Control: Support version control and traceability processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 9-12 years of experience in application support or systems engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with model-based systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, MSOSA).
  • Strong understanding of PLM systems and enterprise integrations.
  • Proficiency in LDAP, SSO, Active Directory, and API-based automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and incident management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 products and Microsoft Teams.
