About Climate Change Research

Climate change is a pressing global challenge that requires innovative solutions. We are dedicated to conducting rigorous research and shaping evidence-based policies to advance sustainable energy solutions, environmental stewardship, and climate resilience.

The Center for Climate Change & Energy Transition aims to be a hub of research and expertise, providing evidence-based insights to inform global climate policies.

We seek a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team and contribute to the creation of analytical research reports, policy papers, discussion papers, and articles of the highest quality and relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth research and data analysis on focus areas.
  2. Lead and contribute to the creation of high-quality research products.
  3. Collect and analyze data from various sources to support research initiatives.
  4. Oversee projects and discussions, including planning and coordination responsibilities.
  5. Establish a network of industry participants and collaborate with partners and other influential stakeholders.
  6. Search for and review published literature on research topics.
  7. Supervise undergraduate project interns or other personnel on research-related tasks.
  8. Assist with manuscript or grant development.
  9. Prepare reports or presentations.
  10. Organize events, seminars, and workshops.
  11. Moderate academic discussions and policy dialogues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, including engineering or energy economics.
  • PhD in the given domain is an added advantage.
  • 13+ years of work experience.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and research software.
  • Ability to work/lead as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship skills and team ethics.
  • Authored at least 2 scholarly research publications and/or multiple op-eds during the last five years.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for research and stakeholder engagement.

Experience:

Applicants should have strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in data analysis tools and research software.

Previous experience in a similar role or a related field is highly desirable.
