Job Description:

The primary role of the Senior Legal Associate is to serve as a key representative before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Tribunals, and other quasi-judicial and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting exhaustive legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and financial transactions, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Leading litigation and dispute resolution proceedings, leveraging expertise in corporate law to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents, maintaining confidentiality and discretion as required.
  • Providing authoritative legal guidance on matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), including resolution processes and asset recovery mechanisms, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Engaging in extensive legal research and interpretation of laws, staying abreast of legislative changes and industry trends.
  • Coordinating closely with internal departments and external counsel to address regulatory issues and compliance matters, fostering strong relationships and open communication.

Additionally, the Senior Legal Associate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting client negotiations and investor communications, fostering trust and understanding through clear and concise information.
  • Coordinating legal aspects of corporate structuring, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with experience working with clients in various industries. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Experience in fundraising, corporate restructuring, and investment facilitation is an added advantage. Knowledge of Indian regulatory statutes, including the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA, IRDAI guidelines, and other relevant laws is essential.
