JAMS System Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyses the current JAMS scheduling system, identifies areas for improvement and develops a plan to enhance efficiency.
• Stabilizes the existing scheduling platform in preparation for migration, addressing integration challenges across multiple teams and ensuring seamless transitions.
• Executes a structured migration to JAMS 7.4+, including service transition, centralization and validation of new features.
• Leads the development of detailed test cases across various environments, ensuring thorough analysis and effective implementation.
• Evaluates the environment's readiness for production, minimizing disruption and ensuring optimal performance.
• Serves as the primary technical liaison with the JAMS vendor for regression testing, bug tracking, version validation and escalation, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Collaborates with internal teams to align migration activities and expectations, promoting effective communication and project success.
• Documented upgrade and simplification efforts, including analysis, testing results, issues identified and resolutions, providing valuable insights.
• Drives centralized scheduling setup for access by multiple teams, ensuring ongoing system integrity, performance and scalability.
• Provides release assessment and advisory on version suitability based on known issues and business requirements, making informed decisions.
• Manages multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Hands-on expertise with JAMS, including version upgrades (7.2 to 7.4+), migration planning and stabilization.
• Proven ability to simplify complex JAMS implementations across teams, leveraging knowledge and expertise.
• Deep experience coordinating across environments with validated test case execution, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Strong understanding of centralized scheduling systems and platform-level integrations, driving innovation and efficiency.
• Previous experience with Infor environments is beneficial, expanding skill sets and expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and vendor management skills, building strong relationships and trust.
• Experience performing upgrade readiness assessments, identifying version bugs and validating new feature suitability, informing strategic decisions.
• Comfortable working within enterprise project cycles and release management frameworks, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, conveying complex information effectively and efficiently.
• Must be comfortable working independently, self-motivated and proactive, delivering results in a timely manner.
