About the Role

The Specialist is a critical position within our organization, responsible for processing information, ensuring data integrity and quality. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Core activity involves processing Indian Custom filings on behalf of clients, which includes attention to details, data gathering and correction as per Customs regulations, uploading error-free data of Cargo and Vessel details on Customs websites. Specialists will follow Vessel schedules to plan their day and working time effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Data Accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail for accurate data entry, including capturing details of documents related to Ocean Transportation.
  • Customs Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of Export & Import Customs filing (India). Well-versed with Customs regulations, criticality, and deadlines.
  • Excel Skills: Good knowledge of Excel, working on multiple files simultaneously.
  • Organizational Skills: Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently, such as accurately inputting information into desired systems following established guidelines.
  • Customer-Focused Mindset: Customer-focused mindset for exceptional service, meeting deadlines for assigned tasks related to booking creation and updates.
  • Team Player: Team player with a collaborative and positive attitude.
  • Tech Proficiency: Basic tech proficiency, including CRM tools and software.
  • Time Management: Effective time management to meet deadlines and deliver goals as per defined KPIs.
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements
  • Indian Customs Filing Experience: Excellent knowledge/exposure to Indian Customs filing procedures and good amount of experience in processing the same.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree, with good communication skill in English and must have good proficiency in Email Writing & excel skills.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work in Shifts as per allocated (working hours as per Vessel schedules) roster, should be fine to work in night shift as well.
  • Import/Export Experience: Good knowledge and hands-on of Import & Export Customs filing.
Working Experience
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 8 + years of experience in Customs filing for India with a reputed shipping/logistics organization.
