Computer Science Faculty Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for teaching Computer Science to students in a K-12 international school. You will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the school's philosophy, mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons for MYP and DP Computer Science as per IB requirements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Develop the content of courses in relation to the school's philosophy, objectives and appropriate IBO-recognized programs.
  • Actively contribute to the creation, development and revision of the school's written, taught, and assessed curriculum.

You will also be responsible for attending school as required by contract, being punctual to classes, meeting internal and external deadlines, writing and compiling reports on students, communicating with parents and guardians, and maintaining the appearance of teaching rooms.

Requirements:
  • A thorough and age-appropriate knowledge and understanding of skills and subjects taught.
  • An ability to use an appropriate variety of instructional and assessment practices and techniques.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively and constructively with colleagues.
  • The ability to respect and treat all community members equitably and exhibit and model respect for the culture, languages, beliefs, and people of the school's host country.
  • Experience of contributing to school life beyond classroom teaching.
