Job Title: Senior Fashion Designer

This is a high-profile position for an ambitious designer who can deliver exceptional results and lead a team to success.

The role involves overseeing the design process, from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs meet the company's standards and quality requirements.

  • Lead the design team in creating fashion-forward designs that appeal to our target market.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure designs align with business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain design workflows, processes, and systems to optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and build upon existing design team workflows to ensure seamless delivery of designs.
  2. Develop and track departmental fashion calendars to stay on top of seasonal trends.
  3. Research and forecast emerging fashion trends to inform design decisions.
  4. Monitor competition and market developments to stay ahead.
  5. Perform daily organizational and maintenance tasks to support design operations.
  6. Organize styling materials and resources for sampling purposes.
  7. Conceptualize, create, and deliver strong design solutions, presenting ideas effectively through presentations.
  8. Partner with Design Merchant teams to drive business growth.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Sampling, Pattern & Khaka's masters and Embroiders.
  • Coach and provide technical guidance to other designers on the team.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Design (NIFT/NID/Pearl Academy etc).
  • Knowledge of Photoshop/Excel/Corel Draw.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.
  • Understanding of Indian ethnic wear design sensibilities – Fabric and Styling.
  • Proven track record of designing an eye-catching Apparel portfolio with a design team.
