Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale our core backend infrastructure that powers our AI customer service agents.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced startup shaping the future of conversational AI. Our team already resolves over 1 million+ customer support tickets monthly for major enterprise customers across food delivery, crypto, and more.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement scalable, production-ready Python code (Django experience a plus)
  • Architect backend services and infrastructure for massive enterprise-grade scale
  • Deploy and manage systems on AWS or GCP with a focus on speed and reliability
  • Collaborate directly with founders and engineers to influence architecture and direction
  • Take ownership: drive projects from design to deployment in a dynamic environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with deep Python expertise (Django a plus)
  • Strong cloud skills (AWS or GCP), with familiarity in Kubernetes/Docker
  • Proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure in production
  • Prior startup experience or evidence of end-to-end ownership (founder, early team member, or shipped independent projects)
  • CS degree or equivalent professional foundation
