Automation Engineer Role

 

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Taiko, or JavaScript-based frameworks.
  • Align test scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Execute automated tests, log defects with detailed reproduction steps, and support defect triage.
  • Create and manage test data and environment configurations for automation.
  • Identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing.
  • Contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets.
  • Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow automation best practices and participate in peer reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Support manual testing efforts when required, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Track and report QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in functional and automation testing using Playwright, Taiko, or JavaScript-based frameworks.
  • Minimum experience in automation testing using programming languages and test design.
  • Independently handle Test Code issue resolution, updates & Debugging.
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools and understanding of defect lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge on CI / CD
