**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in the discovery and development of novel therapeutics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing synthetic routes to prepare small molecules, tracking SAR and optimizing potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules, performing purification and structural characterization of compounds, troubleshooting synthetic problems, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues.

About the Role:

  • Design and execute complex synthetic routes to prepare small molecules
  • Track structure-activity relationship (SAR) and optimize potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules
  • Purify and structurally characterize compounds using chromatography and spectroscopic techniques
  • Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field
  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry
  • Postdoctoral experience in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry (optional)
  • 0-4 years of hands-on experience in working on bench, preferably in an industry
  • Skilled in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation
  • Proficient in chromatography (TLC, column, flash), spectroscopic analysis (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC), and purification techniques (recrystallization, precipitation, others)
