Azure Cloud Engineers play a pivotal role in our IT team, responsible for deploying, managing and optimizing our cloud-based infrastructure. This position focuses on ensuring the availability, performance and security of our cloud environments.

Job Overview
  • This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for someone who can design, implement and manage Azure IaaS solutions, including virtual machines, storage, networking and backup services.
  • The ideal candidate will monitor and maintain azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability and security.
  • They will also be responsible for implementing and managing Azure governance solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC) and resource policies.
  • Regular health checks and security assessments of Azure environments will be performed by the successful candidate, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Collaboration with internal teams to understand and meet their infrastructure needs, providing guidance on best practices for using Azure services is crucial.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure infrastructure and services is an essential part of this role.
  • Automation of repetitive tasks using tools like PowerShell or Azure CLI will be expected from the candidate.
  • Deploying and configuring Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts and Azure SQL databases, will also be part of the job.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong foundation in Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certification is required.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and other monitoring tools is necessary.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure is also required.
  • Proficiency in Azure IaaS and PaaS services is crucial for success in this role.
  • A strong understanding of Azure, including experience with the Azure CLI, Azure APIs, DevOps, Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Storage, IAM, Virtual Networks, Virtual machines, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Front Door and Entra ID, is expected.
