Job Title: Commodities Trading Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodities Trading Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of commodity trading systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with trading, risk, operations, and finance teams to gather business requirements and map them to commodity trading system functionalities.
  • Manage the full trade lifecycle: trade capture, validation, confirmation, logistics/scheduling, risk exposure calculation, settlement, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Support key risk management activities, including mark-to-market valuations, daily P&L reporting and reconciliation, market and credit risk exposure analysis, hedge effectiveness tracking, and configure commodity trading systems to meet commodity-specific requirements.
  • Ensure accurate integration of market data feeds for pricing and risk analytics, collaborate on logistics and scheduling modules, assist with settlement processes, and work closely with IT teams to implement system enhancements and interface integrations.
  • Conduct various types of system testing and document results, ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting standards, provide end-user training, documentation, knowledge transfer, and production support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with commodity trading systems.
  • Strong understanding of commodity trading processes and risk management principles.
  • Experience with data integration, trade lifecycle management, and system configuration.
  • Familiarity with market data providers and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
