Financial Services Professional - US Accounting Role

The objective of this position is to provide comprehensive financial services and support to US-based clients. This includes handling end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients by maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely posting.
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and ensure adherence to US GAAP and client-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records, reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, and perform inter-company balance reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per US GAAP and client requirements.
  • Support the preparation of management reports and financial dashboards for clients.
  • Assist with US tax filings, sales tax returns, and payroll processing, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs, providing timely updates, reports, and financial insights.
  • Handle queries and resolve issues related to accounting, reporting, or compliance, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or other accounting platforms for efficient client management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–4 years of experience in US accounting, outsourcing, or KPO industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, US tax compliance, and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with US clients.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts aligned with US business hours.
