About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Staff Security Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in application security, penetration testing, and offensive security practices.

This is a hands-on technical role with significant influence over the company's security posture, from code to cloud. Responsibilities include performing code reviews, threat modeling, and architecture assessments, guiding engineering teams on secure design patterns, integrating and maintaining security tooling into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with product and engineering teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities, conducting manual and automated penetration tests, simulating attacker behaviors, creating detailed reports, re-testing findings, planning and executing red team operations, developing custom tools, scripting, mentoring junior team members, participating in investigations, communicating risks through training and demonstration, and supporting security audits, compliance efforts, and executive briefings.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in security engineering, penetration testing, or offensive security.
  • Understanding of Secure Coding Principles: Strong understanding of secure coding principles, web security vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.
  • Threat Modeling and Design Reviews: Proficiency in threat modeling, design reviews, and security testing of various types of applications, technologies, and platforms.
  • Scripting and Development: Proficient in scripting and development.
  • Tool Familiarity: Skilled in using tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Cobalt Strike, or custom tooling.
  • CLOUD PLATFORM EXPERTISE: Experience with AWS cloud platform and containerized environments.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Certifications: Certifications like OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, GXPN, or equivalent.
  • Threat Modeling Methodologies: Experience with threat modeling methodologies.
  • Adversary Emulation and Purple Teaming: Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, adversary emulation, and purple teaming.
  • Security Research Contributions: Contributions to security research, open-source tools, or bug bounty platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
