Web Development Department Lead

We are seeking an experienced Web Development Department Lead to lead our web development division, overseeing a team of frontend/backend developers and delivering high-performance websites and web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take ownership of end-to-end website and web application projects from kickoff to deployment.
  2. Translate briefs, UI/UX designs, and business goals into robust web solutions.
  3. Ensure timely, bug-free delivery and deployment.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 web developers (frontend, backend, full-stack).
  5. Conduct code reviews, set coding standards, and foster a strong tech culture.
  6. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team efficiency.
  7. Act as technical lead and client-facing SPOC for web-related projects.
  8. Translate client requirements into technical scope, timelines, and roadmaps.
  9. Provide proactive updates, documentation, and post-delivery support.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Timely delivery of projects (on or before deadlines).
  2. Website performance (Lighthouse scores, SEO readiness, load speed).
  3. Client satisfaction and retention (project delivery, support quality).
  4. Code quality, maintainability, and bug rate.
  5. Team productivity and technical growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage clients, clarify requirements, and propose solutions.
  • Experience delivering responsive, SEO-friendly, and performance-optimized sites.
