Job DescriptionThis role involves leading our solar tendering efforts, developing strategic plans for solar project procurement, analyzing tender documents, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with bid specifications. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans for solar project procurement
- Analyze tender documents, identifying key commercial and technical points
- Prepare bid synopses for review and approval
- Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, commercial, legal, and other departments to ensure compliance with bid specifications
- Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Compile and submit bids on time, attending bid openings as required
- Post-bid follow-up, responding to queries and clarifications from clients
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, ProEst, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
- The ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make effective decisions under pressure
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, AACE) is an added advantage. A minimum of 20-25 years of experience in the solar industry is required, with international experience being a significant plus.
