Our organization aims to empower young people from underserved communities through education and skilling initiatives.

We have established a strong presence across 22 states and union territories, impacting the lives of over 40 million youth. Our Adolescent Programme empowers adolescents (12-18 years) with life skills education and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).

We have an impressive network of 30,000 schools, 343 Community Learning Centres (CLCs), and MOUs with 10 state governments and NITI Aayog. Notably, 52% of our participants are girls, reflecting our strong focus on gender inclusion.

Our Livelihood Programme prepares youth (18–25 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills. We have set up 133 Livelihood Centres, built 1,130+ college partnerships, and established Entrepreneurship Incubation Centres to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities.

This programme equips women with leadership and business skills, enabling them to establish and sustain enterprises and move towards financial independence.

We have empowered over 35 lakh adolescents and 5 lakh youth, enabling their transition from childhood to livelihood.

The successful candidate will lead our efforts in managing resources, staff, and local partners to ensure the full offer of our Livelihood program is available to youth in the district.

  • Manage all aspects of resource management, staff supervision, and partner engagement to ensure the program's effectiveness.
  • Lead a team delivering Livelihood program at district level and manage all aspects of their performance.
  • Achieve targets at each stage of intervention including mobilisation, needs assessment, skills training delivery, and placement in work or education.
  • Support frontline staff to complete comprehensive needs assessments 1:1 with youth to identify their strengths & limitations, training and life skills needs, and overall targets for the program.
  • Formulate personal development plans for each youth that sets out their training schedule and work or education targets.
  • Provide high-quality career counselling and impartial Information, Advice, and Guidance that empowers youth to make positive choices about potential careers.
  • Ensure each new starter receives a structured induction program.
  • Oversee district-level community need assessments and mapping exercises of other stakeholders in the local areas (government / NGO/ private and corporate foundations).
  • Work with the Regional Senior Manager Livelihood Program to implement updates to the Livelihood program designed by the Magic Bus national Livelihood Program Team.
  • Work with the Regional Senior Manager Livelihood Program to ensure staff have the right tools and training to undertake their duties effectively.
  • Ensure district-level staff record interventions and activities with youth effectively and data is reported and analysed to improve the quality of work on ground with youth.
  • Identify and respond to risks that could lead to youth dropping out of the program.
  • Work with employers to ensure adequate placement opportunities exist at a local level for youth completing the program.
  • Broker and maintain partnerships with other skills training providers that can add value to the Livelihood program by receiving referrals of Magic Bus youth when their offer supports trainees to reach their targets.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and quality of partner interventions and training delivery.
  • Manage mentoring arrangements in the district including matching youth to mentors and supporting mentors as required.
  • Work with colleagues in the Livelihood Program teams at district and regional level to continuously improve the quality of Magic Bus Livelihood (employment and training) and ensure our work is always safe and enjoyable.

Pre-Requisites Qualification:

Graduation in any stream. Experience: At least 5 yrs experience in Skill Development sector in which 2 years at leadership role.
