
Digital Credit Strategy Manager

Our organization is seeking a visionary Senior Manager to spearhead the end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of personal loans through digital channels. This role entails leading cross-functional teams, developing policies that align with business objectives, and driving innovation in credit assessment processes.
Key Accountabilities:- Develop Underwriting Policies
The successful candidate will develop and implement underwriting policies that meet business requirements. This involves analyzing market trends, collaborating with stakeholders, and making data-driven decisions to drive policy improvements.
Collaborate with Data Science TeamAs part of this role, the Senior Manager will collaborate with the Data Science team to analyze and validate underwriting models. This will involve working closely with analysts to identify areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
Determine Performance BenchmarksThe ideal candidate will determine performance benchmarks and take corrective action when necessary. This requires setting clear goals, tracking key metrics, and making informed decisions to drive business outcomes.
Automate Credit AssessmentThis role entails automating credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness. The Senior Manager will work closely with technology teams to design and implement efficient systems that streamline credit assessment processes.
Develop Pricing StrategiesThe successful candidate will develop pricing strategies based on segmentation analysis. This involves analyzing customer behavior, identifying profitable segments, and designing pricing structures that drive revenue growth.
Standardize Policies and ProcessesThe Senior Manager will standardize policies and processes across the organization. This requires developing comprehensive guidelines, training staff, and ensuring consistency in credit assessment practices.
Monitor Portfolio ProfitabilityThis role entails monitoring portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds. The Senior Manager will track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimize business outcomes.
Performance Monitoring:The Senior Manager will be responsible for conducting portfolio analysis and recommending policy changes to senior management based on outcomes. This includes reviewing existing portfolios, identifying high-risk segments, and taking actions to mitigate risks.
In addition, the Senior Manager will monitor delinquent accounts to ensure achievement of company standards for delinquency rates. This requires tracking KPIs, identifying trends, and implementing evidence-based solutions to improve credit assessment processes.
The ideal candidate will also identify technological solutions to improve processes and overall portfolio management functions. This may involve collaborating with technology teams, analyzing market trends, and implementing innovative solutions that drive business outcomes.
Furthermore, the Senior Manager will analyze various Management Information Systems (MIS) to monitor portfolio performance and risk. This requires interpreting data, identifying insights, and making informed decisions to drive business success.
New Partner Integrations:The Senior Manager will be responsible for understanding products offered by new channel partners and the segments they cater to. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and developing policies that meet business requirements.
The successful candidate will also identify information available with the channel partner and requisition data required at application time. This requires working closely with stakeholders, analyzing data, and implementing efficient systems that streamline credit assessment processes.
Furthermore, the Senior Manager will create policies based on products, available information, and prevailing models. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments. This requires coordinating with stakeholders, analyzing data, and implementing evidence-based solutions to improve credit assessment processes.
In addition, the Senior Manager will formulate policies considering expected loss rates. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
Finally, the Senior Manager will monitor policy implementation, UAT, and production test runs, clearing bottlenecks as needed. This requires tracking KPIs, identifying trends, and implementing evidence-based solutions to improve credit assessment processes.
Relationship Management:The Senior Manager will build and maintain relationships with Partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations. This requires excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive business outcomes through effective relationship management.
