Navigation and Integrated Systems ExpertAbout the Role

The NAVISYS Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of Navigation Integrated Systems on vessels. This role involves being the primary point of contact for various stakeholders regarding system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Compliance: Ensure that all Navigation Integrated Systems are compliant with International Maritime Regulations (IMS) and international standards.
  • Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Ethics Policies: Perform duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Performance Improvement: Propose a continuous performance improvement plan to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Surveys/Health Checks/Maintenance: Monitor or organize surveys/health checks/maintenance of navigation integrated systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Repair Management: Manage repairs within time and budget by sourcing the best solutions with key partners.
  • Vessel Compliance: Support vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems.
  • Feedback and Challenge: Provide feedback and challenge repair proposals to ensure operational availability.
  • Data Management: Maintain up-to-date data bases of radio and navigation systems onboard.
  • Partner Evaluation: Evaluate and assess partners and key vendors regularly.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Experience: 3 years' experience in support of vessels is preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Good knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems, OT networking, cybersecurity controls.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
