Finance Support Specialist

We are seeking a diligent and organized Finance Support Specialist to assist our finance team with day-to-day accounting, administrative, and secretarial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.

The primary focus of this role is to provide financial support to our organization by performing various tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and maintaining financial documents. Additionally, you will be responsible for processing invoices, receipts, and payments, reconciling bank statements and company accounts, and keeping records of customer invoices and sending reminders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including but not limited to: balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Customer Communication: Keep records of customer invoices and send reminders to customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Payment Processing: Arrange for payments from customers and follow up as needed to ensure timely receipt of payment.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Skills: Knowledge of accounting software like Zoho, QuickBooks, Tally; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and communication skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
