Oracle Performance Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Performance Tuning expert to spearhead our database optimization initiatives.

Job Description:

As an Oracle Performance Tuning Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of our databases, ensuring optimal query execution plans, and implementing efficient indexing strategies. You will work closely with our data architects and analysts to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that meet our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor database performance metrics and develop strategies to optimize query execution plans.
  • Design and implement efficient indexing strategies to improve database performance.
  • Collaborate with data architects and analysts to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c/Exadata added capabilities and functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Oracle performance tuning and share knowledge with team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed as an Oracle Performance Tuning Specialist, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in logical and physical DBA roles, including experience in Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of Database Data Movement and Processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology.
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
