Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist - Seafood Export

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee seafood processing operations and maintain international compliance at our export processing centre in Tuticorin.

About the Role:


The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring shipments meet the highest quality standards for EU, US, and Asian markets. This involves supervising and organizing seafood processing procedures in line with global standards.

Tuticorin is an industrial port city that plays a vital role in India's seafood trade.

Life here is different from major metros – the weather can be extreme, and the city has limited entertainment, shopping, and leisure outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and organize seafood processing procedures in line with global standards.
• Ensure compliance with EU, US, and Asian country export documentation.
• Conduct and manage laboratory tests (microbiological, histamine, and related parameters).
• Liaise with government authorities for certifications and regulatory matters.
• Implement and monitor food safety and quality assurance systems.
• Maintain accurate records for traceability and audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Microbiology or Fisheries Science (acceptable to relevant authorities).

Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of seafood processing and export regulations.
Hands-on experience in laboratory testing related to seafood shipments.
Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory); knowledge of one or more local languages preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage compliance documentation.
