Job Summary:

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and testing automated systems. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, source and evaluate automation equipment, and participate in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software programs for automated systems
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing automated systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Work with vendors to source and evaluate automation equipment
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems
  • Document system functionality and provide technical support to production and maintenance teams
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technology
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in automation systems
  • Strong knowledge of automation software and hardware, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols
  • Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) design and development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in industrial control systems or robotics
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in automation
