Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Overview

This is a key role within our organization that provides post-sales support to customers and partners globally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with customers/partners by listening to and understanding their problems, and clearly explaining technical information over the phone and via email.

This is a critical role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in an expedient manner
  • Communicate complex technical information to customers/partners
  • Escalate unresolved issues to internal teams
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  • Referring to internal database or external resources to provide technical solutions
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of knowledge base articles

Responsibilities:

  1. Communicating with customers by listening to and understanding their problem, then clearly explaining detailed technical information
  2. Asking customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
  3. Tracking issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  4. Delivering workshops to both local and global teams
  5. Prioritizing and managing several open issues at one time
  6. Following up with customers to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting, and a solution has been provided
  7. Identifying areas of improvement whether in processes, procedures, or tools

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering
  2. Minimum 3+ year experience in a technical role aligned to the same field with customer support experience KVM Experience
  3. Ideal candidate would have served as a developer in prior roles and have a deep understanding of modern, highly scalable architectures leveraging the latest technologies including NET/C#, Restful APIs, micro-services, cloud computing etc.
  4. Any of the following certifications: CCNA, MCSE, Cloud, and/or RedHat
