The role of a Distribution Specialist is to oversee the efficient transmission and distribution of power within a given region. This involves ensuring that power plants and substations operate at optimal levels, meeting the demands of consumers while minimizing energy loss.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving power distribution networks, reducing energy losses, and increasing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and operations personnel, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and optimize power distribution infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, such as voltage levels, current flow, and power factor, to optimize system performance.
  • Manage budgets for capital expenditures and operational expenses related to power distribution infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in power transmission and distribution, preferably with international exposure.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems analysis, and transmission planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and software, such as Primavera or MS Project.
