Principal Legal Counsel Opportunity

This is a key role within the legal department, requiring a legal professional with significant experience in a compliance-focused legal environment. As Principal Legal Counsel in this office, you will contribute to and implement the corporate compliance program, providing legal and regulatory solutions to support business objectives.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • A JD degree or equivalent; relevant experience as compliance counsel is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify complex business issues and provide clear counsel.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in public speaking and business presentation.
  • Familiarity with IT industry regulatory standards, including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Trade Controls etc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have the ability to interpret new regulations and laws, reviewing and analyzing proposed and adopted state legislation and regulations. They will also be able to derive policy administration, training and regular communications, effectively handle complaints and investigations, and remediate process. Additionally, they will demonstrate an understanding of key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to the organization.

Requirements:
  • A strong background in compliance law, with experience in managing technology and self-assessment based enterprise-wide compliance management programs.
  • Ability to own, implement, and adopt a whistleblower program with global reach.
  • Familiarity with negotiation and implementation of remediations, and contribution to Compliance & Integrity Plan reviews.
