Job Title:

Role Summary:

The role of a Payroll Operations Specialist is to oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employee salaries, adherence to labor laws, and effective management of payroll-related data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll processing for all employees, guaranteeing accuracy and promptness.
  • Verify and reconcile inputs such as attendance, leave records, new hires, exits, salary adjustments, and variable pay.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, and other applicable labor laws).
  • Address employee queries related to compensation, taxation, and payroll policies.
  • Prepare payroll MIS reports and analytics for management review.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support automation, audits, and continuous improvement in payroll systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, or Human Resources. MBA/PGDM or CMA/CA certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably with expertise in Indian payroll regulations.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in payroll software (SAP, ADP, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formula creation and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of income tax and statutory compliance.

Behavioral Skills:

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
