Job Title: Cloud Support Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled technical expert to provide application support for cloud-hosted systems, particularly on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in monitoring tools like DataDog and a proactive approach to incident resolution and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1/L2 support for applications hosted on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor application health using DataDog and other observability tools; respond to alerts and anomalies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
  • Maintain and update monitoring dashboards and alerting rules.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, deployments, and configuration updates.
  • Document support procedures, incident resolutions, and system changes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in application support or production support roles.
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.).
  • Proficient in DataDog for monitoring, alerting, and dashboard creation.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux commands.
  • Good understanding of logs debugging.
  • Familiarity with other tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of incident management and ITIL processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
