Procurement Expert Role

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain coordination.

Job Summary:

The Procurement Expert will be responsible for managing end-to-end purchase orders, evaluating and sourcing reliable suppliers, maintaining accurate procurement records, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Order Management: Manage end-to-end purchase order (PO) processing, from requisition to order placement and delivery follow-up
  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and source reliable suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including vendor details, quotations, POs, and delivery notes
  • Internal Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are clearly understood and fulfilled on time
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance with quality standards, and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or non-compliance

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain coordination
  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
