Job Title: Procurement and Logistics Expert

We are seeking a skilled Procurement and Logistics Expert to join our team.

  • Job Summary:
  • The Procurement and Logistics Expert will be responsible for procuring coal logistics services and other ancillary services with high reliability and efficiency by achieving optimum cost optimization.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify mitigation measures against strategic, operational, and other risks.
  • This role requires continuous study of markets and identification of opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, better risk mitigation, etc.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for onboarding and developing new service providers for coal logistics and ancillary services.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to formulate and deploy long-term strategies and monitor domestic coal sourcing programs, coal landed costs at various thermal power plants through different modes of transport.
  • The Procurement and Logistics Expert will analyze vendor performance and initiate corrective actions in vendor selection processes as necessary.
  • Support fuel management teams in preparing coal sourcing plans as needed.
  • Promote innovation for improving system and process reliability.
  • Comply with group-level SOPs, guidelines, and governance regulations.
  • Improve and implement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Logistics Strategy:

Develop and implement a procurement and logistics strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.

Vendor Management:

Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Coal Sourcing:

Source coal from various suppliers, monitor market trends, and optimize coal landed costs.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and logistics operations.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Promote innovation and continuous improvement in procurement and logistics processes.

Reporting and Compliance:

Provide regular reporting and ensure compliance with group-level SOPs, guidelines, and governance regulations.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement and Logistics Expert who can lead and manage our procurement and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the energy sector.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify mitigation measures against strategic, operational, and other risks.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
