Job Opportunity: Accounting Assistant

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to fill a range of accounting and financial roles, including bank reconciliation, accounting entries and record keeping, financial reporting and compliance, ad-hoc financial tasks, and general accounting functions.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

Accounting Entries & Record Keeping

  • Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely posting of transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and verify general ledger balances.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ad-hoc Financial Tasks

  • Address any urgent financial or accounting queries as required.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for financial matters.

General Accounting Functions

  • Collaborate with the finance team for smooth financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Unit4, Zoho, or SAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
