Faculty Opportunity in Gemology and Diamond Grading

We are seeking a knowledgeable faculty member in Gemology and Diamond Grading to inspire students through theoretical insights, practical applications, and real-world expertise.

As a faculty member, you will deliver engaging classes in Gemology, covering colored stones, synthetics, and treatments. You will also teach Diamond Grading, focusing on the 4Cs, certification standards, and sorting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality educational content in Gemology and Diamond Grading.
  • Conducting hands-on lab sessions with professional gem and diamond grading instruments.
  • Evaluating student performance through both theoretical and practical assessments.
  • Staying updated on global industry trends, treatments, and synthetics.
  • Mentoring students with academic guidance and career counseling.
  • Supporting course development, paper setting, and evaluations.
  • Representing the institution at events, exhibitions, and guest lectures.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A graduate or diploma in Gemology or Diamond Grading from a recognized institution.
  • Prior teaching experience is highly valued, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, with regional language skills an advantage.
  • Comfortable using digital teaching tools, including PowerPoint and digital microscopes.
