Network Engineer Role

This is a key role for a Network Engineer to provide remote support to various clients and implement Cisco-based networks. The first project involves working full-time with a client to manage their Cisco network devices and provide support for their follow the sun model.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing, troubleshooting, and documenting enterprise networks and related systems
  • Providing knowledge transfer and informal training to clients

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level expertise in Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting large enterprise networks
  • A good understanding and practical experience with routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
  • A good understanding and practical experience with switching technologies like Spanning tree, EtherChannel, Port Security, 802.1X, MAB

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience with implementing Cisco-based wireless network infrastructure
  • Wireless experience with Meraki
  • Familiarity with firewalls is an advantage
