Job Title: Business System Analyst

The Business System Analyst

This critical role is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete moderate to complex projects, applying system development methodology and delivering business analyst tasks including requirements understanding, configuration, testing, and mitigation plans.
  • Provide support to stakeholders and IT areas for assigned business applications; analyze and resolve complex system problems; work with business and technical staff to perform effective root-cause analysis and resolution.
  • Participate in training activities such as documentation authoring, preparation, and delivery or follow-up.
  • Gather, compile, interpret, and summarize systems and business process changes.
  • Coordinate and participate in testing activities including unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, and UAT.
  • Identify testing risks and contribute to the overall testing effort.
  • Ensure operational support transition to impacted business teams after implementation.
  • Manage customer interactions and act as IT liaison during project and problem resolution activities; maintain and support business processes and related systems; provide advice on business processes and solutions; collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document business requirements and with technical staff to develop solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively.
  • Analytical skills with ability to switch between business and technical terminology; self-motivated, quick learner, able to multitask, meet deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Aptitude for continuous learning of new skills, industry trends, and technology that add value to projects and assignments.
  • Experience with agile development is preferred; agile certification is a plus.
  • Ability to coordinate system testing cycle, issues tracking, and resolution.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Good understanding of customer needs and business strategy.
