Job Title: Powertrain Dynamics Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Dynamics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for simulating powertrain systems, programming simulation tools, and developing functions for engine and aftertreatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Simulation of Powertrain Systems: Component and system modeling/optimization using industry-standard tools like GT-Power.
  • Programming of Simulation Tools: Developing and implementing custom scripts to automate simulation tasks.
  • Model Integration: Combining modules into larger systems/functions to improve overall efficiency.
  • Model Building: Creating models, including subsystems, defining boundary conditions, and testing parameters.
  • Development of Software Function Units: Designing and implementing software components to support engine and aftertreatment systems.
  • Calibration, Testing, and Evaluation: Optimizing system performance by calibrating and testing parameters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.

Technical Knowledge

  • Physics and Chemistry: Understanding of fundamental principles and their applications in engineering.
  • Internal Combustion Engines: Knowledge of engine design, operation, and optimization techniques.
  • Exhaust Aftertreatment: Familiarity with emission control technologies and systems.
  • On-Board Diagnostics: Understanding of diagnostic techniques and tools.

  • GT-Power: Industry-standard tool for powertrain simulation and analysis.
