About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consolidation Specialist to join our team at NielsenIQ. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and posting journals/topsides in the Consolidation tool OneStream, ensuring month-end close activities are completed accurately and on time. You will also provide support to regional leads for the quality submission of the Reporting pack, eliminate intercompany transactions, and perform various checks from a group reporting perspective.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparation and posting of journals/topsides in OneStream.
  2. Responsible for month-end close activities.
  3. Providing support to regional leads for the quality submission of the Reporting pack.
  4. Ensuring all intercompany transactions are eliminated.
  5. Collecting/backing up all topside journals posted.
  6. Performing various checks from group reporting perspective.
  7. Performing variance analysis for given accounts and collecting commentaries from Country/R2R teams.
  8. Equity, dividend, and Goodwill reconciliation from group perspective.
  9. Supporting external and internal audits with supporting documentation, archive retrieval, journal walkthroughs, and other audit requirements under the supervision of the Operational Controller.
  10. Maintaining internal process documentation to reflect the most up-to-date ways of work.
  11. Ensuring standard operating procedures are operationalized and consistent in both content and format with expectations laid out by Global Financial Controlling.
  12. Working with R2R, Intercompany, and controllers on processes and systems.
  13. Providing support to internal audit for internal control or audit purposes.

Requirements

  • A Semi-qualified accountant (CA Inter/CMA/ACCA) with 5+ years of experience in accounting of a multinational company/consulting firm or a Qualified accountant with 3+ years of corporate experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Hyperion or OneStream).
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts under IFRS/U.S. GAAP.
  • Advance Excel working knowledge.
  • PowerPoint experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation: need good listening and communication skills.
