Job Description

Purpose:

The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals responsible for processing new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business.

Context:

This role will be part of the Operations Department, focusing on Group New Business & Policy Servicing to deliver exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Sales and Actuarial teams for the closure of individual Group processes.
  • Ensure the efficient issuance of policies and resolution of customer and intermediary queries.
  • Maintain an effective service delivery standard that is professional, courteous, and meets customer needs.
  • Comply with established procedures in a consistent manner and contribute to their improvement whenever possible.
  • Implement quality and quantity controls to aid proactive management and problem anticipation.
  • Supervise and train a high-performing team to meet business needs as the company grows.
  • Coordinate with finance for policy account balance reconciliation.
  • Drive transformation and digitization of group business.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess an MBA/ACII with at least 8-10 years' experience gained in customer services or operations. Associate of Insurance Institute is a plus.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong background in operations within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in Group Operations is mandatory.
  • Data processing skills to drive operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in using databases, office management software, word processors, and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and influencing skills.
