We are seeking an experienced Energy Law Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to our business development team on various projects. This will include drafting and negotiating contracts, reviewing tender documents, and providing end-to-end support on tender submission. Additionally, the role will involve advising on strategy for termination or suspension of contracts, as well as handling related disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and negotiating procurement and engineering construction contracts;
  • Reviewing tender documents and providing end-to-end support on tender submission;
  • Advising on strategy for termination or suspension of contracts;
  • Handling related disputes;
  • Providing legal support to other functions such as commercial office, HR, compliance, regulatory, administration, finance and control, and other units.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5-6 years of prior work experience working with top law firms handling energy conventional and non-conventional forms of energy and infrastructure projects or working with energy companies or a combination of both;
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts;
  • Excellent skills in drafting contracts such as NDA MOU Joint Development Agreements JVA SHA SPA EPC Contracts O M Agreements;
  • Ability to work in time-constrained situations and follow tight deadlines;
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
