Chief Financial Governance Specialist

Job Description:

This senior role is responsible for designing and implementing effective financial governance strategies to drive business performance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in auditing, financial analysis, and compliance.

  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex business challenges and enhance financial performance.
  • Plan, organize, and manage complex financial situations across various units, ensuring strong financial governance and audit compliance.
  • Analyze business processes to identify core issues and opportunities for improvement, recommending actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly closing of books of accounts, prepare profitability statements, and submit them for review by senior management.
  • Prepare detailed monthly MIS reports with variance analysis and ageing reports, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue optimization.
  • Create and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing proactive recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Head the internal audit department, implementing audit tools to improve efficiencies and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Submit and revise Internal Audit Charters and Audit Plans as required, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and local tax regulations, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify cost control areas and implement effective strategies to reduce costs and avoid revenue leakages, contributing to profit optimization and cost control.
  • Participate in value improvement initiatives and capex project reviews, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation.
  • Liaise with statutory and internal auditors for quarterly audits and financial reviews, ensuring seamless coordination.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a CA or MBA in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration, with a minimum of 20 years of experience in auditing, financial analysis, and compliance.

Key skills include:

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, auditing procedures, financial planning, reporting, and audit tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
