Data Architect Lead

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect Lead to spearhead the development of our data architecture strategy. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership abilities and a deep understanding of data warehousing, modeling techniques, and distributed computing principles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines utilizing ETL processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficient resource utilization.
  • Leverage big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark Streaming to provide requested capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain robust data architectures, translating complex technical requirements into detailed designs.
  • Analyze alternative solutions for data storage, processing, etc., to ensure streamlined approaches are implemented.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in data engineering on GCP cloud platforms, including Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, and Big Query.
  • Experience with building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming.
  • Good knowledge of big data querying tools such as Pig, Hive, and Impala.
  • Familiarity with various ETL techniques and frameworks such as Flume, Apache NiFi, or DBT.
  • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Deep understanding of Lambda Architecture along with its advantages and drawbacks.

This role demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
