About the Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and reliability of IT infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and managing various systems, servers, and networks to support technology needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Server Management: Monitor and manage servers, networks, and systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Software Installation: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servers, networks, and software applications in a timely manner.
  • Security Measures: Implement security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats.
  • System Updates: Regularly update and patch systems to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest security and software enhancements.
  • User Account Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels to ensure proper security protocols are followed.
  • Solution Evaluation: Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and recommend new hardware and software solutions that align with business needs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Disaster Recovery: Plan and perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing their IT-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Specialist or in a similar IT role.
  • Operating System Knowledge: Strong knowledge of operating systems.
  • Virtualization Technologies: Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud services, and networking protocols.
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and system management.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Experience with system monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Cybersecurity: Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and end-users.
